Yellowtail are considered a delicacy in Japanese cuisine as an ingredient for sushi and considered second only to Bluefin Tuna. It is part of the Jack fish family and also called a Yellowtail Amberjack. Not to be confused with Yellowfin Tuna.
Yellowtail is a rich and fatty fish with a delicately sweet flavor. This deep sea delicacy is also a better source of omega-3 fatty acids than most fish varieties.
No Sodium Trypolyphosphate is used (commonly sprayed on fish when presented as 'fresh').
Approximately 10-12 vacuum sealed and flash frozen portions per 4lb box.
Our Yellowtail is hook and line caught in Japan, of which the fish is native.
